Are Native Americans misunderstood?
A good friend of mine recently got back from a trip to Sedona, Arizona. Sedona is the place where New Age freakazoids are flocking because they believe the place has mystical and healing powers.
Anyway, my buddy said he was walking down the street when he came across an American Indian in full regalia with a long feather headress raising his right hand and saying "some" to all the women walking by.
My buddy went up to him and said, "Don't you mean 'how'"?
The Indian looked at him and said, "Me know how. Me want some."
omg.....very funny
excellent...awesome..........good job......keep up the good jokes.....made me laugh...
How can I protect a custom chest set?
I bought my bf a civil war chess set last year from his bday. It's still in the box that it was shipped in. I wanted to get him something to protect the pieces and board. What can I get for him?
1) You misspelled "chess." No biggie but a stupid preadolescence might say something.
2) It is usually packed with bubble wrap and foam peanuts etc. Leave it in the wrapping.
If you mean a separate gift for after he gets this, well, I hate to break it to you. That set is not "Stanton" design. (Regularly accepted standard.)
That, and is is too valuable to leave his house/apartment/etc.
It will go on a table at his house/apartment/whatever to use against guests, etc.
If you want to protect it, may I suggest a set of cheap plastic pieces to go out with.

I suggest avoiding good wooden sets since if they are stolen it in a couple hundred bucks, but a plastic set is only about $20.
Bags and roll up boards are in there in the second link.
What are some victorian novels for a 16yr old to read?
I have to read at least one Victorian novel from either of the following authors for collage:
Charles Dickens
George Elliot
The Brontes
Thomas Hardy
Any suggestion would be very helpful as I only have 1 week to read it!!!!
Thanks!!!!
Also: I kinda want to read Great Expectations. Does this count???
YES, Great Expectations counts, as it's written by Charles Dickens. If you are a fast reader, I say go for it; the book is absolutely fabulous. (Ahem. Off my Great Expectations fangirl mode.) However, it's a long book, and takes a while to get to the point (but very worthwhile), so that might set you back.
I have never read anything by George Eliot (sad), but I think Silas Marner is a short read. Don't know how interesting it is.
I have also never read anything by Thomas Hardy (also sad), but I get the notion you don't want to read him unless you want to kill yourself at the end.
For the Brontes, I think Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte is the shortest (that or Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte), and it's all romantic and stuff. So you may enjoy that. However, my favourite Bronte novel has got to be The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, but it is rather long and if you're not interested in the idea of how domestic abuse was treated in Victorian England, then it's probably not for you.
Hope this helps!
Edit: had to add that most Victorian novels are not known for their brevity, so sorry if you hate my answer lol.
